Think building a Progressive Web App means wrestling with JavaScript frameworks or mobile SDKs? Not here.
In this fast-paced live coding session, we’ll go from zero to a responsive, installable PWA in just 15 minutes—using nothing but plain Java. Powered by webforJ, a thin-client Java framework designed for serious business apps, you'll see how fast and clean modern web development can be—without leaving the JVM.
You’ll discover:
- How webforJ uses a lightweight JavaScript layer to bring Java UIs to the browser
- How to build installable, responsive apps with no JavaScript or frontend build tools
- Why webforJ excels at “bread and butter” business apps—from 1 to 10,000 users
webforJ projects often cut 60% or more of the typical code you'd write in other stacks—by eliminating glue code, framework mashups, and boilerplate. Less code means less to debug now and less to dread later. Fewer moving parts also make maintenance a breeze (or at least less of a storm).
⚡ Warning: side effects may include reduced stress, fewer bugs, and spontaneous appreciation for Java.
